WorkTech Mailer Software Equips Maximo to Send Messages

SOMERVILLE, MASS. -- MRO Maximo customers can now easily and inexpensively customize their enterprise asset management system to send email alerts from their Maximo database. For example, managers can be notified every time a purchase is made against their budget or an e-mail with essential information can be automatically sent to every new vendor when they are entered into Maximo.

"We wanted to give back to the Maximo community that has so heartily endorsed our WorkTech Time timekeeping product and the QuickPick tool kit for Maximo," said director of marketing Pat Byrne. A standard Maximo extension, the WorkTech Mailer utility monitors Maximo for changes on a pre-defined schedule and sends messages through an SMTP email server. Messages can be created using any tool capable of inserting a row into a database, such as a trigger, a SQL script, or through a customization tool such as WorkTech's QuickPick.
