Breakthrough Technology Recognized Under Asset Management Category
SOMERVILLE, MA April 4, 2017: Work Technology Corporation (WorkTech), a company specializing in contractor cost tracking, time and attendance, and fatigue management software, announced today that they have won Plant Engineering Magazine’s prestigious Product of the Year Gold Award for new products in manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries.
The annual reader choice program provides Plant Engineering’s audience with information about top new products in their fields and represents the 29th year the awards program has been in place based on voting results from the publication’s print and digital subscribers. WorkTech was honored Monday night in Chicago at the annual Plant Engineering Awards in Manufacturing dinner, hosted by CFE Media.
“Acknowledgement as a technology leader in fatigue management by the readership of this important publication is a testament to WorkTech’s vision and the importance and need for our solution in the marketplace” commented Jack Hall, President and CEO of WorkTech. “This honor demonstrates our continued technology innovation and overall business success in anticipating and meeting the needs of our customers.”
Research on mitigating worker fatigue and the development of regulations and guidelines has been ongoing over the last twenty years. Various industry and governmental bodies have reached a consensus that the best way to minimize worker fatigue and associated risks is by implementing a comprehensive fatigue risk management system (FRMS).
“Exhibiting leadership, demonstrating breakthrough technology and pioneering development played a major role in WorkTech winning this award,” said Eric Grimes, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for WorkTech. He added, “It is well documented that workplace fatigue is a risk to safe operations and can lead to reduced productivity, increased costs, and in some cases severe accidents. I was honored to be called to the stage to accept the Gold Award on behalf of all WorkTech employees.”
